Explanation of Benefits

Please give us a call today so we can explain your benefits to you thoroughly. Dental insurance is very different from medical insurance. This is a brief explanation of how dental insurance works, for a complete more detailed explanation pertaining to your specific dental insurance, please give us a call or stop by the office.

Most dental insurances cover 100% for your bi-yearly cleanings, exams, and x-rays; so take full advantage of that and get in for your cleaning today! Typically, you will have a deductible payment every year. A deductible is a dollar amount that each enrollee (or, cumulatively, a family for family coverage) needs to pay for certain covered services before the insurance begins paying benefits. Benefits encompass what your insurance pays for certain dental services. Usually for most dental work, your insurance will pay a percentage and you would be required to pay the unpaid portion. Remember, every plan is different depending on what insurance policy you selected for yourself. Most insurance has a maximum for the year which is the total dollar amount that a plan will pay for dental care incurred by an individual enrollee or family (under a family plan) in a specified benefit period, which is typically a calendar year. If you are having any concerns about your required portion for treatment, let us know. Payment plans may be an option for you.
